3786 SkyTV and the World Cup

Having watched all the good games on Sky Sports ( Not Calcio ) Channels all season , I now get a phone call from Sky telling me I have to subscribe to Sky Calcio channels if I want to see any of the World Cup Games live !:eek:

Bearing in mind there has hardly been a decent game on the Calcio channels all season isn't this a bit of a con.?:mad: ...It seems no games are going to be on Sky Sports and if I want to watch them live I have to hand over another 49 Euros ( and that's a special offer ...usually 69 Euros ) and take the Calcio Channels as well.

Has Sky got the monopoly in Italy for the World Cup or is there going to be decent covereage on the terrestial channels ( Raiuno etc ). If anyone knows the set up can you let me know or if someone can point me to a web-site to find out exactly what is on I would be most grateful.

La RAI usually shows the world cup. As far as I am aware the world cup is not allowed to be shown exclusively on satellite.

RAI are advertising that they are to show all of the Italian matches live plus "the most important game of the day".

I'd be surprised if there isn't a highlights programme every night as well
