Hi there, Whenever we go to Stintino it is always ram packed with people and cars are parked everywhere so we have never spent the whole day as it can get a bit to much. The actual town and harbour bit is quite small with some good shops and snack bars but the main attraction is La Pelossa Beach just past Stintino town outself, by far the best beach I have seen in the Med, but that probably explains why it is so busy, I have a feeling you might like it there. There are numerous small restuarants by the roadside as well as some Agriturismo's. Outside Stintino I could recomend a visit to Sella E Mosca Vinotheque and shop on the road to Alghero airport. And travelling a bit further afield you could try a couple of excellent and inexpensive restuarants just past Sassari on the way to Olbia,Before you reach Ploage. The first is Saccargia which is located next to the church of its namesake on a hill with a lit up driveway leading to it you cant miss it, and on the opposite side and back towards Sassari ,Su Coluru is a white barn type building set just of the road up a drive. I could also recomend a drive up the coast to Castelsardo and Valledoria and the Terme at Viddalba, Where my favourite restuarant Monti Ruju is located, which does awesome Steaks, Wine and everything else you could want.
Hope this is a bit of help

Grazie mille! I look forward to trying some of these places..

Stintino was nice & relaxing...stayed in a lovely residenza called al saraceno they have a few in Sardinia.
We ate most nights in a local restaurant close to La Pelosa(which is amazing white sand & clearest water you'll ever see on a beach!) beach called Valentinas the food was excellent, all in all would go back but have to say found Sardinia pretty expensive especially to eat.
