There were some updates on that subject on the forum a few months ago. Have you done a search? Seem to remember thay were talking about work having just started on extending the runway ready for flights by Nov 2006????

oops! didn't see your post - I have just posed the same question myself! it's quite a hassle to get to perugia at the moment via milan or rome but word from some friends of mine in perugia is that the comune di perugia / regione di umbria are not in a real hurry to make the area more accessible... interesting that DavidandLinda remember it being November 2006 when the runway extension should be ready - maybe I was being a little optimistic by thinking it was November last year...

Hi Richard - have you heard anymore about this. My husband and I are thinking of buying a holiday home in Sansepulcro (within the city walls) and are hoping to rent it out to English people. It would be easier for people to fly to Perugia than to Forli.
Do you have any comments about Sansepulcro

Hi,
Isn't it easier to fly into Pisa? There are loads of cheap flights from the UK. We stayed in Siena and visited the lovely city of Sansepulcro, which is one of our preferred places to live (also within the city walls) however we have found the properties quite expensive. Have you any contacts for good agents here? We have found just one, Romolino, who was very good but pricey.:)

I too loved Sansepolcro!!! There is a huge camelia tree outside the entrance of the city wall which was in full bloom and the scent was so wonderful!!!

looked at a small property about three years ago in the centro storico and now I wish I had bought it. I think it was around €60000!!! I came acrooss this agent whilst strolling in the centre one evening - http://www.immobiliaremarcellini.it/ The agent I used was http://www.greenumbria.com but they also deal with Tuscany!!!

Also try typing in key words into Google!!!

I had flown to Pisa, took a train then a bus to Sansepolcro and back!!! I think you could also fly to Rome and take a train from there.

I'm flying into Perugia airport in September - but only from Milan, and it costs a fortune! [twin engined (propellers) 32 seater, so it should be fun]. Off on a 6 day walk from Todi to Assisi, then fly back to Milan.

The agency we used was Apta Domus in Sanselpulcro. www.aptadomus,com
Bruno is the agent. email Barbara barbara@aptadomus.com

Best wishes
