3019 Driving to Italy - somewhere to stay just before Mt Blanc tunnel

We're driving to Marche over Easter in a van and hope to do it in two days - I've been told that the Mt Blanc route is easiest for Vans as the Border controls can cause delays on the Swiss Italian borders.

So we aim to cover France in a day, spend a night somewhere just before the tunnel - and cover the remaining journey the following day...

Does any body have a fav stopover point on the motorway route?

I used to make it through the tunnel and stop in Aosta - in an extremely cheap place - I wouldn't call it a hotel, it was more of a truck drivers stopping place, but it was clean with private bathroom and, as I said very cheap! But then I am Scottish, so what can you expect!!!
