3074 Fees at National Parks

Howdy,

Just a quick question...are there entrance fees or parking fees at the National Parks of Italy? And, if so, is there some sort of annual pass that can be purchased that covers all of them?

If you are thinking about the vast areas on maps labelled Parco Nazionale, there is no entrance fee - public roads go through these "parks", and there are hundreds of villages within them, so it would be a bit impossible to make an entrance charge!

Within the parks there will be some specially interesting areas, where there is probably a visitor centre, bars etc, but you would be unlucky to find anywhere which charges for car-parking (unless the visitor centre is within a busy town or village, where the normal parking restrictions will apply).

Do the visitor centres within the National Parks issue or sell maps for guided trails, etc?
