3589 Travel from South Coast Uk to South Italy

HI,

as I live practically on the South coast within easy reach of Bournemouth and Southampton airports I am always hopeful that 1 of the budget airlines will start flights to Rome or Naples from this area.

Our travel at the moment involves a trip to Stanstead, Luton, East Midlands and then into Rome, Pescara or Naples.

As I could get flights from the South to Pisa, does anyone know how convenient the train from Pisa to Rome or Naples is from Pisa airport? i think the drive from Pisa to where we are in Molise is about 4 -5 hours, was just wondering about train.

We live in Monmouth South Wales and live in hope that Ryan air will start flights to Pescara from Bristol (no chance of Cardiff now they have had a row with the airport bods!!).

The drive to Stansted is okay on the way out but when you arrive back you just want to get home asap!

Easy jet do Bristol to Rome but since Stavros sold out they just don't compete with Ryan Air.

We have thought of writing to Ryan air asking for a local route to Italy but there is no e mail address on their web site. If someone has one I would be grateful to know what it is or perhaps we the forum could petition them en mass for flights from regional airports that would benefit the members?!!

I do write to Thompson fly and Flybe on a 6 monthly basis asking for them to consider flights to at least Rome or Naples.

Just get the standard we are reviewing routes all the time mail.

Perhaps if we all wrote en mass it might have an impact. Everyone ask for flights from Bristol to Rome first. They will think they have missed out on thousands of passengers wanting Bristol - Rome flights and hey presto!

Then, we move on and everyone writes requesting flights from Cardiff to Naples for example, and hey presto! We all get a plane to ourselves and they are left scratching their heads and wondering what happened! :D

Anastasia what a fab idea. Perhaps we should do a poll first to see the most popular departure areas and take it from there. As I am a complete techno duff I wouldn't know how to go about the poll thingy but perhaps the mods could help. After that just tell me who and where to write to and I'll be right there (or should it be write there!!)
