8829 Internet banking

I have an internet Italian bank account ( Banco di Credito Cooperativo Picena) and need to transfer some money online to another Italian account. It is only a modest sum.

I find it very hard to decipher my bank's website. I can just about make out what has come out of the account and how much I have in the account.

Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer money online to another bank account and if so what link I need to click on the website to arrange the transfer.

Thanks

In general yes. But unless somebody uses the same website at best we can give you a list of words?

Can you do a screen capture? Block out any personal info.

I have an account with the same bank and do everrything on line,it's very simple you simply open "bonifici"
put in the name of the beneficiary-ie your own name
you'll have to put in the iban number of your other account with the other bank.
the amount-the cause "trasferimento fondi"
date of valuta and of the operation.
the machine will want you to put in your password "dispositivo"
you should then read that the operation was successful within 24 hrs it will appear as having gone out of your account when you check your statement on "conti correnti".
IF you have any difficulty pop into the bank and get them to show you thru the various operations that may interest you.

This is very obvious but better said than not just in case - the beneficiary would only be his own name if the "other Italian account" was also in his name - his post doesn't actually say that (though it may be true). Same obviously applies to IBAN number of other account.

I am paying the money into someone else's account. Here is a screen shot of the screen ( I have removed my personal details). I have the other parties name, bank name and address, IBAN number and Swift code. My Italian is not up to know what boxes I need to complete so any further help would be greatly appreciated.

I was hoping Sebastiano would help out as he knows the particular website for your bank. I don't think I'll be able to help sufficiently (because my Italian is pretty basic and I am not familiar with your bank) but pending better feedback from anyone else, I'll have a go ... use at your own risk!

"Conto Di Addebito" is the account that is to be debited - so it must be an account that you hold with this bank. I guess you've already selected that (or it was auto-selected by the website)

"Beneficiario" is the beneficiary, I imagine you need to put the recipients full name in that field.
"Codice Beneficiario" - I assume is their Codice Fiscale (but not 100% sure)
"Indirizzo" is the recipients address (street name, number)
"Localita" is the area in which the recipient lives
"CAP" is (I suspect) the recipient Italian postal code

The table with several fields is basically there to hold the IBAN, broken down into component sections. You should be able just to type in the IBAN you've been given. If you have any desire or need to understand the components see this post http://www.italymag.co.uk/forums/property-sales-rental-advice/7399-post-office-account.html#post69194.

"Banca/Filiale" is the name of the bank & branch to which you wish to send the funds.
"Salva Beneficiario" is a check box; if you tick it, the website will save the details above so that you can in future click on the little icon (a folder with a magnifying glass) to retrieve the details.

Moving to the top right of the form. "importo €" is the amount to transfer.
"Ordinante" would literally be the "placer of the order" - I assume that is yourself, but I see you've blanked out the info in that field, so it's presumably correct anyway.
"C.F./P.Iva Ord" is the Codice Fiscale and IVA registration of the Ordinante - again, looks like you're happy with that already.

"Causale" is the reason for the transfer - Iassume that's optional & freeform so you can describe it how you wish

"Esito" is literally the result or outcome - Can't help on that unless you tell me what the other drop down options are.

"Valuta beneficiario" and "data esecutione" are obviously date fields - I assume you choose the date you want the transaction to be executed, and it then tells you the date when the recipient would receive the funds (but I'm guessing there, you need to play with it to see whether it lets you enter your own choices for both ...)

As I say, I'm not really qualified to help here, I'm only chipping in just in case you're desparate and nobody more clued up can help. Use at your own risk!

Thanks for that Pigro. Your understanding is roughly what I thought. However, I will see if Sebastiano agrees before I proceed.

Thanks once again.

in conto d'addebito there will be your account
beneficiario- put in your friends sirname then name.
put in his address for indirizzo.
località -put in his town
cap. put in his post code
fill in the full iban code.
banca put in the name of his bank
salva beneficiario -click on this.
importo- put in the figure ie. amount do NOT put commas or zeros eg. 450 = 450 euro.
ordinante put in your name.
put in your codice fiscale OR VAT number
valuta beneficiario click on date/month on which you make the payment then for the date you want it to be credited this can be the same
then below this panel click on conferma.
if you 've made a mistake the computer will tell you if not you'll have to put in your secind passwod.password dispositivi
it will then tell you it's been processed and the debit will appear on your account in circa 24hrs
hope that helps.

Thanks all for posting. I'm with the same bank and they are very helpful in my local branch in Comunanza. I've always requested inter-bank transfers by fax, but useful to know there's another way

Thank you very much Sebastianio.

Life will hopefully be a lot simpler now I know how to do it.
