Best hotels Milan
Submitted by LauraK on Sat, 08/12/2017 - 09:14In Milan you will find enough choices for good quality hotels. Recently I've stayed in the Hotel Gran Duca di York. It is a small romantic hotel in the heart of the city center near the Duomo square and it was clean and the employees were super friendly. Here is the link of the hotel and some reviews:

Please let us know which hotel you've chosen and how it was!

Several Of my friends used this hotel when visiting Miano when I was in hospital here. It was recommended by my neice. None are 'made of money' and they said it was very nice, friendly and quite affordable. Bear in mind this was in 2004 though!
Plus - just down the road on the opposite side is the most popular ice cream parlour in Milano!!!

Milan is very expensive. A good small hotel near the Duomo is Hotel Spadari, Via Spadari 11 HOTEL SPADARI - HOME PAGE
You will be looking at 150-200 euros or more depending on the time of the year, events, etc.

I need to visit my daughter who is in Milan and another in Rome. I have found several campsites in/near Rome which have budget bugalows/caravans at around 50 euros per night but cannot find anywhere at a decent price near Milan. Does anyone know of a similar deal in the area. I would be happy with anything within 50 km of Milan. My next visit will probably be in November.

A bit on the expensive side for me. About one third of their price would be my maximum.

Have you tried searching in towns like Pavia, Abbiategrasso, Vigevano etc... They're all about 20km from Milan and easily reached by train.
When do you plan to be here?
We stayed in the Hotel Florence in Milan a few (10 maybe?) years back. It's not right in the centro storico, but then we were looking for something more reasonably priced. We were quite happy with it and from their website Milan Hotel Florence hotels in Milan Italy – Official Site it looks as if they've upgraded their decor since we were there.
