Looking for a house to rent around SienaHello all, we are from Holland and currently living in Civitella Paganico ( between Siena and Grosseto). As we have a river nearby and lots of hunters in the hunting season we decided to move. As we like Siena much better over Grosseto we prefer to look for a house to rent near Siena.We like to live in the "country side-ish" around Siena. My partner travels a lot so then Firenze airport comes handy. We have dogs and 2 cats, I would also like to have 2 horses near our home. So we are lookign for a property with minimum 1 hectare land. More land is welcome!If you know anything please let me know. In the mean time I keep scouting casa.it, immobiliare.it etc.Thank you in advance and happy to be part of this community!Suzi!!

Hi Suzi, and good luck in your search. I may be wrong, but would suspect if you live in the countryside here, then there will be hunters.... Lovely area by the way.

Hi! Thank you for your reply.I understand what you are saying. The hunting is something we cannot stop / chnage as it is something deeply embedded into culture.The only thing I can do is to look for a house with a big enough fenced garden to prevent them from parking 30 cars next to the gate to go boar hunting, as now is the case!We come from a quite extreme situation so anything gun shot at more than 500 meters of the house is already an improvement!! And then we are also looking for a house that has a minimum risk of overflooding :-)
