I did see this app in the itunes app store but it doesn't have the best reviews https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/verbalizeit-voice-translator/id549339304?mt=8, otherwise this one costs 3.99 and looks a little more interesting! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/travel-voice-translator-linguatec/id563150533?mt=8We wish you luck, keep us posted if one of these worked for you or if you find something better!Georgette: Italy Magazine

My sister hasone for Englih/Spanish. She used when we were out for a meal with Spanish friends. She has a Scottish accent and spoke clearly and precisely and it worked ok. owever when her partner spoke inhis strongish scouse accent it wouln'd work to the amusement of their Spanish friends. It worked for the Spanish friends as well. Don't know what it is called though

Or you could stop someone and ask them in English - and you will find that alot of people (certainlyin the north) speak ENglish.   Go to the usual tourist haunts such as Venice and Florence and everyone speaks ENglish.   Smile, wave your arms and ask in your best broken italian and throw away your iphone translator and the Italians will like you much more.   By the way your translation (google?) above, will just get you blank looks from Italians as its nonsense.     Try speaking Italian - its fun.  You are after all visiting Italy.
