We're returning via Eurotunnel in three weeks so fingers crossed France doesn't lockdown by then.

Hi people , just an update on our road trip from South Wales to Southern Italy. 

We left Dover on the 23.55 ferry on the 3rd /09 , only having to produce our passports at Dover .

After landing at Calais we drove straight off the ferry and that was it no checks or decloration at the French -Italian border .

Hopefully we will have the same easy journey on the return trip . Meanwhile we're enjoying the Italian sun and tranquility here in Southern Italy.

Hi Pam   we're on the midnight P&O ferry from Dover on the 3rd heading to mont blanc tunnel.
