Hi all. I have received a request from our UK house insurer, with whom we have had insurance for a few years on a property in Italy The property is in my wife's sole name, and she is resident there.
I have tried to obtain a car on a 2-year personal lease which I can take to Italy up to six months a year, but am told that most companies do not allow the car to be abroad for mre than 40 days in a year.
I need to transfer money from my wife's Italian bank account (she is resident here) to my account in the UK. We use Custom House to make these exchanges, and the money will be going from her account to an account In Frankfurrt (Custom House then
thanks for this. I would be up for such an option if it can be used by UK residents who have no address in France. To keep life simple, I would prefer to have a UK registered vehicle.
I can also recommend MJ Murphy. After having some reasonably priced written advice from him (he does not do verbal advice), I decided life was too short, and I did not become resident in Italy for tax purposes.
Thanks for this.We also transferred a large amount from the UK to Italy when we bought our house here, and the bank, not the fisco, contacted us to check what the transfer was for. They also stole 250 euros from it. Anyway, it is all above board, so if the fisco do get interested we can just tell them we are now buying a property in the UK

Peugeot Open Europe stipulates you must be resident outside the EU. Or are you referring to some other scheme?
