How easy is it to change banks and transfer direct debits and standing orders? We are with the Monte de Pasco and their charges are akin to daylight robbery.
My wife and I own a small flat ( one of 3 in a converted town house in Fondi Lazio. Value around €100000 ;) we have never insured the property but now wish to do so.
I always use Hertz . They have several offices around Rome and at both airports. There is also an office next to Rome Termini station . The may not be the cheapest but I find them reliable and have never had the scam of billing for supposed damage to alloy wheels or scratches on vehicle after return of car . This is a common occurrence in some of the lesser known companies in Italy and it is very difficult to refute the evidence once you have left the country .
The money is just taken from your card.
Hi.We have a holiday home in the town of Fondi which is in Lazio midway between Rome and Naples , just over an hour from both by train and just under 2 hours by car . The town is historic and has plenty going on with a friendly small town feel. The beaches are 15 minutes away and the seaside towns of Sperlonga and Terracina are close by . We have been at all times of the year and it is always vibrant unlike seaside towns which are empty out of holiday times. Property prices are very reasonable. .Good luck.
Sperlonga in Lazio. It is midway between Rome and Naples and the beach is very safe . I can recommend Albergo La Siranella which is situated right on the beach and sun beds and a large sun umbrella are included with the room .

I just saw in the Telegraph, that they have changed their stance, and travelers are being allowed on Eurostar to drive through France
Thank you Scott . Almost seems too easy.
