We moved to italy about a 18 months ago and my only real problem is I cannot find a crock pot/slow cooker here? Can anyone help?

An adaptor is not a problem but I bought one in the states and a voltage regulator and it worked for 10 minutes and then burnt out - so I am worried about the toltage - is that the same in Britian and Italy? - I appreicate your help!
