Does anyone know if there are any beaches in the Francavilla Al Mare area where you can take dogs? Thanks
HI,I own a small apartment in Abruzzo and am the named owner of the property. I have owned it for over 10 years, but think it is time to put the wife down as joint owner (just in case!).
On a recent visit to Abruzzo, we were informed that junior golfers can join the Italian Golf Federation for a mere 20 euro and then play at any course in Italy. On return to the UK, I have tried to find how we do this but to no avail.
Is anyone aware / know of any public outdoor swimming pools. We will be staying in Francavilla area of Abruzzo and lookin gfor a pool we can take the kids too.
Does anyone know if you can buy these railway sleeper type wooden blocks, either old or new in abruzzo and if so where? In the UK they can be found in places like Wickes, Homebase etc. I am planning on using them to build a small retaining wall

I have a similar problem and need advice. Tried to work out ICI / IMU for Migianico in Abruzzo. Been on various websites but cannot seem to work it out. I have a small apartment as a second home, 40 sqm.ANy help in advising me how much my bill would be would be great
My understanding of the junior membership is that kids can play on any member golf course for free wiht this membership. So if this is the case, would make my 2 - 3 week trip to italy every year even better as the kids can play golf at a very cheap price. Not sure about the adult membership./ Downloaded the information and tried to translate it .... suggests to me that adults could play also on member courses, but whether there is a discount I am not sure. The course near to me offers 4 rounds for 200 euro, so if this gets more discount that then that wuold help
Thanks Spud. Will check it out cheers Shepsterboy
Just been looking at flights for the summer and see that under the taxes to be paid bit, there is a new charge of what looks like £2 per person per flight for a cancel / delay levy? I had not heard anything about it but will add another £16 to my summer tickets! I love Ryanair but now getting frustrated by the continued new ways of getting a few bob!
Many thanks all for your responses. Some new ideas for me there to think about. Best wishes
Thanks again all. More confused than ever!!I have emailed the comune and attached the documents I received at auction. I will also send on copies through post and get the wife, whose Italian is far superior to mine to call them. I hope they can advise what I need to do now. I am anxious to make sure that the aprtment is registered as mine and that I am complying with all the necessary legal aspects required.
we did use a notary for the purchase and i have papers with official stamps and signed by notary and others. Having spoken to the lady that worked for the agent, she said that all the agents were responsible for were the legal matters relating to the purchase. However, they did not tell us that at the time, and I as well as others thought that the legal fees were to do all legal matters and not all.All monies were paid to the Comune and not to the agent, all i paid them was a fee for their services, which as mentioned, includued legal things. The notary was provided by the agent. As for residency, the auction was in Chieti and I was among many brits and dutch people that bought this way. There are at least 6 possible 8 other brit / dutch owners on the complex - some of whom I have found out have also found out the need to register the purchase too.The letter from the comune is asking me to show the paperwork that I have on file re: the purchase. I am assured that all things re: the purchase are 'above board' but for some reason the agent failed to notify me that I needed to sort out the registery. Thanks for the reply... So it looks like i need to go back to the notary involved in the first instance or find a Geometer
