I've recently been informed by the new owners of the farmhouse I once owned in Piemonte that the piece of land attached to the house is still in my name and that they would like to purchase it or have me donate it to them.
Thank you for your reply. I can only assume that the succession of owners (at least 3) since I left have been unaware that the land was still in my name and have been using it. The current owner says she was surprised to find out at the Notary's at the time of purchase 3 years ago, that the land was still in my name so she must have been led to believe up until then by previous owners or an estate agent that house and land were together. Why any of the previous owners were not told if that were the case that they didn't own the land as well, I can only put down to bad conveyancing. Thank you for your advice.
