Hello all. My husband and I visited Abruzzo last November & viewed a couple of properties. We are planning another trip next month and thinking of visiting and viewing in Umbria. We know nothing about this area. Any advice on areas??
Can anyone give me some info on living in La Marche. We are looking at buying in Abruzzo, Molise but I've just been looking at La Marche and it looks pretty nice!
Like the UK I understand that there is a yearly tax to pay on properties. There doesn't seem to be any info that I can find on this as it seems to be worked out on sqm.
Can anyone please advise. My husband and I are looking for a property in the Abruzzo area. We will not be living in it as we will have to do work on it(mainly decorating and updating) no structural.
Hi Tizianu thanks for your reply. We are looking in the area of Cessapalombo Macerata & Villagrande di Montecopiolo Pesaro e Urbino. We have no idea about the area neither do we about Abruzzo either. Do you know anything about these 2 areas?
Thanks for your reply LL. I know it may sound a very stupid reason not to buy there but I couldn't bare seeing dogs roaming the streets. I know this is very "normal" to them but it would be my worst nightmare!
Thanks for your reply. We are looking to use it as a holiday home then hopefully retire. We are planning a visit in November. would like to be in a village where there are a few shops etc. just a bit hard to know where to look!
Thank you for this info. Just didn't want to look at 3/4 bedroom house to find out the charges were high! We wouldn't be living there perminatley for a very long time.
Thank you for your reply. We will defiantly make sure we get a lawyer that speaks and understands the Italian property law. I understand the buying process is a bit different than the UK! We are doing Our research & hopefully will make a trip over to view some properties soon. Our main concern was leaving the property for long periods at a time.
Thank you for the reply. We don't intend to live there yet. We would be "doing up" over a couple of years. Then we would "holiday" a few times a year until we retire which is not for 10 years(unfortunately). We could look at renting out but not too sure on that side of things. We are looking at the Abruzzo area.
