We have a house in Tuscany and spend four months of the year here. As non residents we pay more for our utility bills. Can anyone confirm that this is the case in the UK with Italian non residents?
We will be driving from Tuscany to the Airport in Milan and will have two nights to spare. We would love some suggestions as to where to go and visit?Thank You!
We have an account with MPS bank Tuscany and they pay our utility bills for us and send us a statement. The smaller utility bills like refuse collection we pay when we are in residence.
Thank you Modicase; I still wonder whether the same applies to non residents with a second home in the UK, do they pay higher rates for their utility bills or taxes for that matter. Does anyone know the answer to this part of my query? Thanks!
Yes, Maurice, that makes sense, thank you for all input. Just a sudden thought: we are both pensioners and in the UK our prescriptions are free. Anyone know if this is the case here? I have been paying for mine; What would be the case of a non resident, pensioner, getting amprescription?
It is a popular service where you drive to the airport and your car is taken until you need it and then brought back fo you upon your return. I have used it before and it works well, although there has been some bad publicity about it recently. I don't think it is about hiring a car.

We want to put our Vespa on the train in Florence heading for Bari. Does anyone have any experience with this? All advice will be gratefully received!

I don' know about Luton, but Gatwick provides this service, or has done in the past.

mercatino acqua calda in Lucca; www.subito.it; mercatino diecimo. I have used all three. The mercatino's take 50% of your asking price.
Thank you, will do some research.
