I agree that April is a good time to visit Sicily to witness Holy Week and Easter celebrations. One of the most iconic events is I Misteri di Trapani. Also, Trapani is one of my favourite places in Sicily, so you could just explore the beaches and nature around the city. Weatherwise, April is perfect for sightseeing and hiking, but not that suitable for a beach vacation. But seeing empty beaches is an attraction by itself, I think. But if you are after a real beach holiday, come in May or even Juen when it gets warmer. Also, spring in Sicily is the time of wildflowers and seafood like sea urchins, so you should enjoy it.
