Denise R. Nardozzi

I am a 3rd generation Italian-American, my great-grandparents arrived in the US, New York back in the 1930’s (I believe) and soon settled in Hoboken, NJ. My maternal grandmother, the youngest of 7 was only a toddler when arriving and what I believe was by the age of 9 she was orphaned by the pasting of her parents, my great-grandparents leaving her to be raised by her siblings. The family soon relocated to Wilmington, DE which at the time flourished with Italian immigrants and still today, the presents of the “Little Italy” neighborhood exists. As for my fraternal great-grandparents, I believe they also arrived in the US in the late 1800’s and lived in Hoboken, NJ. My grandfather, one of 3 boys served in the military and was 20 years my grandmother’s senior at the time my mother was born. All of which are now deceased.  My grandmother (Rosalina Bernadette "Rose" Malice Springer – born 1/7/1933) passed in April of 1987 at a young age and was laid to rest in Delaware. Her oldest sister in her 90’s is still living in Wilmington, DE.My grandfather, Francis J. Nardozzi – born 5/16/12) passed in January 1996 and along with his parents and siblings; my great-grandparents now rest in Wilmington, DE.  My great-grandparents, Italian Immigrants:Saverio Francesco Nardozzi (1881 - 1925)Elizabeth Marie Delfonzo Nardozzi (1887 - 1936)I have been to Italy, spent 1 month traveling, exploring, eating, shopping and just absorbing all the great things it has to offer – It was a true life changing experience.   Now a mother, with a 3 year old who I gave an Italian name and carries my Italian last name so our family name continues for generations to come.It’s a dream to be able to bring my son to Italy, live in Italy and be able to connect on all levels Italian!Italy is a true gem, whether your Italian or not it’s a place that everyone should visit and experience at least once in their lifetime. it’s truly breath taking and non other any other place in the world. The people our genuine and family is everything not to mention everyone is physically beautiful.
