8687 Hi from Joanna

We've just bought ourselves a place in Liguria for the winters. See you there!

Congratulations Joanna! Liguria is a beautiful place. Enjoy!

Whereabouts in Liguria? We're on the Tuscan end of Liguria, lived here for 3 1/2 years and loving it. If you need any help / advice, don't hesitate to ask, there aren't many of us in Liguria.

Calice Ligure. You can see the place we've got on this link (not the whole lot, just 1 appartment!) Hi Joanna and welcome.

We share the same air as you when there is a westerly blowing!! We are behind Calice, just over the hill known as Pietra Bianca (approx 800m). Can't see it today because it's chucking down through the low cloud!!

There is a "road" (in it's loosest sense, in no way implying consistent availability of tarmac) over to the Tuscan side, where if you ever want to venture, I can point you to several great lunch stops. It's worth the drive to the top - the views are incredible.

All the best

Chris

How far is Calice Ligure from Calice al Cornoviglio which is also on the Ligurian side of the border with Tuscany? We have a tiny house in a tiny hamlet near there and we adore the area.

Hi Joanna, welcome to the forum!

My girlfriend and I went to Liguria (Vicino di Massa) on the 23rd Dec and it was like a summer's day! We left Modena in the morning where it was very cold and grey and we couldn't believe the difference over the Appenines. It must have been 15 dec C, not a cloud in the sky, and I swear that if I didn't have a 'Freddura' I would have gone for a swim in the sea.

You are very lucky to have a place in such a beautiful region.

Buona Fortuna!

Hello from the other end of Liguria. Hope you enjoy your new place. Good Luck.
