My local (Italian) builders merchants were so taken with my screwfix catologue I had to lend it to them for a few days. They couldn't believe you could get all that stuff from one place and delivered to your door, for free, the next day.
Mind you I'm beginning to wonder whether I dreamt it and screwfix don't actually exist!
BAck to the thread, I'm in the middle of a project, but too early to report any regrets. I've got the window people around tomorrow to give me a price, the electrician arriving on Monday to start the installation........and so it goes on.

We too have a trusty 2007 screwfix catalogue in our place and it gets a trip out each time we need anything from the builder's merchants.
What an amusing site we must make! They can spot the Brits coming as they're brandishing their screwfix catalogues! Anyone here actually been to the Builder's Merchant without the catalogue????

Italy does, indeed, have a wonderful version of the Screwfix catalogue - in fact, I would say it's much better. By a margin.
890 pages long, complete with everything you could ever dribble over (all men understand this!), it is a miracle - a wondrous addition to the toolkit and it's IN ITALIAN!
Ferrunion s.p.a. are the people - get hold of the catalogo generale.

Great bed time reading!!!. Add to this the girlie on the homepage wearing a bikini top, with writing on her thigh, Malirer spanner attached to her midriff and another smaller Mairer on her other thigh and holding something that I cannot figure out what it is.??? Italy .....

I just gave a spare Screw-fix catalogue to my local ferramenta, she said she had some english speaking customers that she had difficulty in understanding, she actually offered to pay for the book, no chance.
Maybe this could be a business venture :nah::nah:

Had to laugh - opened the link to the website and what was on the first page? - a half dressed girl in a bra and a tool belt, winking at me - god it really is an Italian version!!
Thanks for that!
