Violetta, most ferries to Morocco (Tangiers) leave from the Spanish southern port of Algeciras. I understand that there are also some from Almeria, but not too many. If you decide to go avoid the summer months as this is the time when most of the Moroccans living in the EU return home for their holidays and the ferries are packed.
Your local terracotta factory doesn't do something similar? I can think of a couple round here that do just what you describe. And if you only wanted a smallish quantity, a local potter would probably do you a special order, though they may be pricey. V
ps: actually thinking about Morrocan things, is it too far for us to drive to? We have friends in the Languedoc region of France who drove down to wherever it is in Spain you drive to and took the Ferry across. Stocked up with amazing stuff such as pottery, textiles, rugs, etc. to decorate their house with. It was all incredibly cheap and they got a great holiday in to the bargain.
