One of the best meals I have had in Umbria was in Castiglione del Lago.

We had a dish which I think is unique to this area Carp caught from the lake stuffed with Porchetta, unusual combination but absoloutly delicious.

Wonder how long ago that was? We could not say the same after several disappointing lunches at La Cantina, including market day, when it has been almost empty!

It was over two tears ago! we where there last september with friends and had the set lunch menu which was fine, either we have been lucky or you havent.
