Only Easter Monday is a holiday in Italy (shops will be shut), Good Friday and the Sat are normal working days so you should find everything open as usual.

"GOOD" friday is NOT a holiday in Italy, neither is the saturday of easter weekend most places will however be closed on Sunday and Monday however.

As Sebastiano says, most places will be closed Sunday and Monday although many restaurants will open for a festive lunch on Sunday and Monday if you are planning to eat out. If the weather is good, you will find many people go out for a picnic on Monday.

Just out of interest, the going rate in our area for Sunday or Monday lunch on the Easter weekend is about 30 euros each for a full meal including drinks (usually half price for children) which is about the same as Ferragosto - this is in a typical agriturismo or local rustic restaurant. Does anyone know what prices restaurants are charging in other parts of Italy?
