Thanks - think fornello means any kind of oven - its the range bit I need! Have found this which seems quite a bargain [url=http://www.eplaza.it/Shop/Product.asp?IdSos=LFCGA086&MODELLO=Cucina%20a%20Gas%20Lofra%20X%2085%20G/C%20Inox%20Cucina%20a%20gas%20a%205%20fuochi%20(%204%20fuochi%20gas%20valvolati%20pi%F9%20un%20fuoco%20gas%20valvolato%20tripla%20corona)%20con%20forno%20a%20gas,%20tre%20griglie.%20Protezione%20GAS-STOP.%20Forno%20dotato%20di%20grill%20elettrico%20e%20timer.%20Finitura%20acciaio%20inox.%20lucidato%20a%20specchio]Cucina a Gas Lofra X 85 G/C Inox[/url].

Mine looks similar, but not stainless -- that center large ring is great for pasta or soup pot, but my oven is bigger (the entire width of the stove) -- it looks as though this one has the "bombola" gas canister to the right of the oven -- we hooked ours up with the gas feed outside (through the wall) -- imho safer than having the gas next to the hot oven. Also, I paid about 200 euros less -- be sure to print out what you're looking for, and scour your local supplier if possible -- keeps the business in town, and they're usually happy to compete!

Hi Marina we have a Lofra, but standard size all gas, but a friend has the larger range style, have had no problems with ours, and it was inexpensive, bought it in Euronics at the Oasis centre near Fermo. Seems good value for money, is very sturdy and in stainless steel, if I am down there before you come out I will have a look for you, or perhaps another Marche member will be shopping there, and let you know.

Brilliant - thanks so much all of you. I thought the one I spotted had two ovens but you're absolutely right mathematician - it must just be for the gas bottle - the one you have got sounds great and I agree safer. I'd prefer a larger oven (or two ovens ideally). Your rex sounds like it was a great price too - will search them out to see if I can find a stainless one. Angie - many thanks if your eagle eyes spot anything suitable.
Sorry I feel this is prob in the wrong section now - can it be moved to a more appropriate place than translation help Ronald?

Look for "tutto gas", you want "cucina di sei sedi e forno tutto gas" -- I recently found one with 5 rings and a gas oven, made by Rex (Electrolux). It seems as though most cookers have gas on top with an electric oven (yuk), took me a while, and my appliance dealer in San Vito had to order it for me -- but it cost LESS than a similar cooker with the electric oven. Hope this helps!
