Great, thanks - never knew there was an Ikea in Prato, though the only one was in Florence.

The Florence store is really between Prato and Florence, Sesto Fiorentino to be precise (Sesto Fiorentino exit, direction Osmannoro). Very easy to find. Another place to check would be Leroy Merlin at the huge commercial center "Il Giglio" in Campo Bisenzio. There are also a couple of large lighting stores in Lucca, but I cannot remember their names or addresses and I have my Yellow Pages book in Bagni di Lucca (I am currently in Spain)

Thank you Sally, yes, I did have a look yesterday; however, I cannot remember the name of the store and I had made a mark on my Yellow Pages book....
Anyway, I made an effort to remember and I am pretty sure that they are these people

the name rings a bell.
Hi Glenda! I would say that you would find everything you need in Lucca, from the pavilion chrome floor standing lamp to the scooter. No idea about buying a scooter and how easy this is, but I have seen plenty of shops selling them in Lucca.
For the lamp, you could also go to IKEA at Prato. Quite a few there and reasonable prices. Otherwise, try the BRICOIO Shop at San Concordio (Lucca).
