i reckon you will be treated very well... bookings for naples and even some of the sort of amalfi and island resorts are down by as much as 80 per cent because of the rubbish problem...

its a major political issue for the election

i would say that the situation is no better maybe even worse... the new trouble shooter that was sent down to sort it out has done just about nothing,,,

however i would also say that at the moment there is no disease rampant in the city, and the burning of the tips is mainly in the suburbs... you will notice piles of rubbish even in some of the more central areas... but nothing like there is on the outskirts

my opinion is that there will be a new government here mid april... and that one of the first things they will do is sort out....at least in a visual way the naples rubbish problem quickly after that...

there was actually another program on rai tre... "report" its called which showed much more serious problems and gave a lot of background to the problem... of rubbsh in the region... the president is under investigation..again... and the people of naples seem almost in tears about what is going on...

... i guess if may is warm down there and they have not done anything you might do well to be concerned... as i said before ...let the politicing finish... and hopefully then they will do something... and by the time you holiday comes along it will have been swept under someones table until the next time...

thank you

had a look at your site... hardly call it unbiased... if i wrote what you wrote on here they would be for having my head or stringing me up ...

i enjoyed most of the postings and heartily agree... with most...the mayor makes my stomach turn... most of my family are form the area between caserta and naples so have seen the writing on the wall for a long time and they are pretty well fed up with what is happening... talking about the mozzarella the other day with them they say that its now all coming up from Salerno because no one will buy the local stuff...

reports also did an excellent programme following on from the sheep dying documentary at Xmas... my wife couldn't even watch those scenes... hopefully your site will do some good in the fight against those that want to destroy the place ....

will keep the link... have added into my favorites and hopefully give some support by joining in or at least adding to your membership

thanks again for telling us about the new forum...
