9130 Just returned

[FONT=Franklin Gothic Medium][SIZE=2]Hi everyone, I've just returned after a long absence from these pages. So much has happened in the intervening years. I have been out here in Umbria, near Lake Trasiemeno for eight years and last year lost my husband to Alzheimers. We came out to set up a holiday apartment and now I am expanding the business , by developing a second apartment for rent or purchase. I am having fun with the development (apart from the terrible bureacracy!) and I'd love to hear from otheer developers, landlords and landladies or even anyone interested in potentially renting or purchasing an apartment!. I am also learning to Ballroom dance and help moderate a local 'straneiri' gardening group so would love to hear from others with the same interests.[/SIZE][/FONT]

Jan, sorry to hear about your husband, but at the same time it's highly commendable that you are living such a full and contented life it seems. I would love to join you in some way but alas I'm miles from you. I look forward to hearing more from you. Welcome

Hello and welcome, nice to hear from you and if it appeals then there is an English speaking church in the Lake Trasimeno area to expand your social contacts. There are connections with All Saints in Rome and I spoke to the church warden and his wife a couple of weeks ago and they seemed v nice people. However if this is not your thing then enjoy your life here anyway.
