Ours is paid by Direct Debit in May/June for the year. Maybe you could arrange for the bank to arrange the same?

New discounts have recently been introduced; 1.33 per mille? I can't help you on how to work out the amount you have to pay unfortunately! It's got me puzzled too!

If you present yourself at the Ufficio Tributi (payments office) of your local Comune (usually in the morning), they will probably work the ICI out for you, the first time. After that, you just keep paying the same amount. Why they can't post people bills for ICI, when they can for TARSU (refuse tax) is one of those little mysteries.

Only true until they change the rate they charge - I think that its reviewed each year but seldom changed - you can get the current rates at your Commune

Hi
As I mentioned on another thread, don't forget you can get 10% discount if you have a compost bin and more if you use solar power - check with you comune
Trying searcing for ICI on the forums - you should find loads of info.
Or you could go to a commercialista to get it all sorted out for you.
Some communes have online calculators and payment facilities.
