A wonderful thing about Italy is that you will be able to find someone to make you almost anything you want!
Steer clear of the castorama type shops and look out for the small metal workers/ welders who may be on the outskirts of towns or on industrial estates.
Wrought iron work which is done on a forge can be very pricey but you will have a most fantastic piece of craftsmanship that's unique to your house! And will last forever.
The cheaper method is to cut metal cold but there's a more mechanical feel to that, secondo me

[quote=Rozzie;87856]Does anyone know of someone who makes wrought iron door frames for outer doors with thick shatterproof glass? I would need a few made for a unique property in the trullo district in Puglia.
Many thanks,

On thr road to Auchan in Mesagne. Coming from the Autostrada, just at the start of the industrial area. There is a company who sell roof panels, wrought iron gates and grilles. I guess that they deliver what you want.
