Paivaa Mrs Z.(Can't do the accents) Your English is excellent and I am sure you'll pick up Italian over time particularly if you're married to one. We have a holiday home in Le Marche inland and love going there. I think there's another Finnish member of the Forum who goes to Le Marche in case you're interested. Welcome to the Forum.

Hello Robert and thank you. I have got to grips with the english language over the years, but living here in the UK of course helps. Unfortunately, can't quite say the same about the italian, even though the husband is a native, we've always communicated in english and it seems to be impossible to reverse this - and my italian is not really yet on a competent conversational level, but I keep turning up to the lessons in the hope that something will sink in!
We absolutely love Le Marche, we often drive to the Sibillini mountains too for walks. The Le Marche landscape is just right for my liking; green with hills, sea and snow peaks mountains. We tend to visit 4-5 times a year; practically all of our holidays are spent there.
