Could it be Allevi? Very famous, his tune is the 500 spot?

The only current song I can think of at the moment is Eros Ramazotti and "Ci parliamo da grandi", but I doubt it's this because it's not 'very catchy'. Worth a try though as it is a piano solo. Need more clues.

It is almost certainly Giovanni Allevi.

Even if that;s not the one Charles thank you.
Going back to J's suggested Eros Ramazotti. I cannot find an actual video on youtube of the song she/he mentioned but there are a couple of gems.. The second one is with Anastacia and a big hit in 2006..

Here it is, but something tells me we still haven't got the right song yet.

Thanks to you all for trying to find out what the tune was.
I have checked Allevi & he is a classical artist whereas the video i saw was
definately more of a pop song!
I was assuming it was sung in Italian as i was on holiday over in Sardinia (from England).
Apologies if it isn't!!!!
Looks like i wont get to find it unless i tune into the Italian radio as some of you have pointed
to.
Thanks again.
Jazz on Tour.
PS on another note does anyone know if any national stores in England sell
the great tasting Ichnusa beer?
Hi,
Having just returned from a long weekend away in sardinia (26th April)
there was a catchy tune that everybody was humming and i saw a bit
of the video on MTV. Basicially it's a solo artist and he's playing the piano
and he gets up and jumps around a bit (points at the piano)and it's a very catchy tune.
I guess it must be a top 10 hit but was wondering if anyone knew the artist
and song and where i could get a copy from (perhaps on the internet) or the video...
Any help would be good.
Thank you.

I won't pretend to know the tune you seek, but if it's jazz, fun and catchy music that you are after, have you ever listened to Paolo Conte?
Annie.
Welcome to the Forum Jazz. I'm perhaps stating the obvious but try MTV.it - musica italiana e internazionale: artisti, classifiche, video - MTV.it. Also try www.radioitalia.it and click on the immediate link to the right of "podcast" Here you get streaming radio and all the very latest of Italian "pop" music Buona Fortuna. It's highly frustrating when you hear something you like and remain clueless as to what it is and who sings it.
Incidentally I updated itunes fairly recently and then discovered that they no longer seem to cater for Italian pop music. Only French and German. I wonder how many Italians are p off about this.
Very annoying for me as I would hear something I liked on Radio Italia then would be able to find the song and title by listening to musical clips. (Needless to say that I've complained to Apple. lol)
