A long shot, but did you maybe pay for this using a UK credit card?
If so, you're protected under section 75 of the consumer credit Act, and you could possibly reject the whole deal due to original goods not being of merchantable quality, attempts at repair being unsatisfactory & replacement offered not being like for like.
If you don't want to to that far, then paying for redelivery, but then claiming back €300 (to cover the redelivery charge & lower value replacement) from your next CC bill may also be possible.
Although the CC card companies kept trying to squirm out of their obligations, it's now been confirmed that they extend to foreign purchases too.

I'm sorry to hear that you have had so many problems resolving your cooker problem, but it is a good post because it does remind people that the consumer protection legislation in Italy is nothing like the situation which prevails in the UK (and perhaps in other European countries).
Caveat emptor, which means check that whatever is delivered works properly at the time of delivery: always retain the scontrino fiscale: if something goes wrong within a week then you are in the hands of the service agent. Having said all that, you should shout at Lofra (I don't know where they are made), but shout at the head office and tell them what cretins their Italian agents are etc. etc. You might be pleasantly surprised at the action which results from this approach. Good luck.
Thanks Charles

Yes i am speaking to Lofra, but only one person, but i hope this will soon change, as i have found an EC directive 1999/44/ec which italy implemented and which i will use against them, and i have also been given an email address of a person who works at Lofra, albeit in marketing, but is the daughter of the boss, so speriamo, Hadrian

OMG! :eeeek:
I am having the Lofra gas cooker PD 96 GVE/C delivered on Monday or Tuesday and was really looking forward to it.
Don't know why though as I don't have any gas supply in my house.
As per, the gas company who promised to come and give a quote in April never showed up and this is after six months of asking. :madd:
I'll make sure to check the doors and then stand back and admire it as furniture for another six months until I get connected. :laughs:

It should ship with propane jets to. I know the one I'm looking at as the jets in a little baggie inside the oven. So if you don't mind a bottle of gas then you could run on propane until the gas company hooks up. Then have the jets changed back to methane.
I've got mains gas but it's downstairs. If the installer claims it's too much hassle to bring it upstairs I'll just go with propane. But then he is already putting enough holes in the house that one more shouldn't matter :laughs:

Hi All, When i said the door did not close properly, it is not possible to see with the eye if the door is not closed, i took a piece of A4 paper and tore in half lengthways, and inserted half between the seals and the door, closed the door and then checked if there was any resistance, after finding mine was faulty, the next time i went to Mediaworld i checked about 7 cookers there, and they were all OK, but the series i purchased is the Professional range, and usually these are not seen in the shops, well i have never seen that range. There is no picture of the pro line on the website  But I know the one I wanted had a ventilated oven and the pro line seems to be the only one with that. :veryconfused:

Thanks guys for the tips.
I found mine on the Lofra website and it is also from the professional line.
I can see the complete range on their website but here is a link to open the Professional range.
Hope it works.

I think the one at Trony is a NEOMAXIMA. I get confused all the shops seem to have different models.
Isn't this a gas? Didn't the installer notice to begin with? How did the installer let this go?
