9627 Marketing a property for sale to the UK

I was wondering if anyone could help me with advice regarding selling a property to the UK market. My husband's uncle has a huge, five storey palazzo in northern Lazio in Soriano he wants to sell. It's liveable in but defintely needs a lot of work. It would be a fantastic property for a small hotel (or just a huge family house). He wants us to help sell it as he thinks the UK market may be a good place to start. We want to, if at all possible, keep out agents from the equation. Has anyone got any advice on where to start, good websites, organisations to contact etc? Would be most welcome.

Here are a few links, which might be useful. I would say to your husband’s Uncle that now is probably not a good time to try and sell to the UK due to the downturn in the property market there, the present credit squeeze and the fall in the exchange rate.

You say that you want to avoid agents- if so then you need to either use traditional marketing tools or the web.

If Your friend wants to create a low cost web site that'll get him visible then I'd recommend [url=http://www.bluevoda.com]Free website builder create website maker web page site builder[/url] as it's very simple to use there are video tutorials and it only costs about €10 a month to host the site but nothing to create it. The beauty is that the software prompts all the keywords in the relevant content and an enormous range of graphics.

However, I would look at [url=http://www.rightmove.co.uk]Properties for sale, homes to rent, overseas property, retirement properties and new homes on rightmove.co.uk[/url] and the agents that are most prominent for Lazio on that site- as these are likely to be the most prominent in the uk and invariable will have other marketing strategies to attract uk buyers to the region.

this site "Italy Magazine" has a property section.... that you can use to sell property as an individual... we find that it works well... but what is important is how you title it and photos...

so if you click on the property section you can find all the details... i don't think it costs much ... we pay an agency rate so no idea for private individuals...and there might even be deals for forum members... or was that just for rentals... anyway well worth a look id say
