9704 What's the best Travel Guide for Le Marche?

I've been asked the above question and couldn't answer it, as the guides that I've used in the past have lumped Marche in with Tuscany and Umbria and given the area a token amount of broad-brush information that is of no use to man nor beast.

When reading other forums, it seems to be a choice between the Blue guide Full title list and the Italian Touring Club book Amazon.com: The Marche (Heritage Guides): Touring Club of Italy: Books

Can anyone out there tell me the difference between the books and recommend one of them or any other book, still in print, that I am unaware of. In particular, it would be needed for the Macerata and Ascoli provinces.

We have both the Blue Guide and TCI guide but much prefer the Blue Guide. It is more detailed and includes 'things to see' not given a mention in the TCI guide. It could do with a few more road maps, especially of towns but other than that we have no real criticism.

The TCI also do another series - much more detailed, but with no photos/pictures so whilst useful some might consider it too dry and offering too much historical detail. Le Marche is no. 23 of the volumes - as far as I know it is only available in Italian so may not be quite what you are looking for. Unlike the others it does not list hotels/restaurants/shops etc. but does have better maps.
