I have a lot of friends in that area, and I lived near to Capel-le-Fern before my last move to Italy. That stretch of road is very bad, especially where it begins it's descent into the Western Docks area. A couple of small roundabouts on that descent just after the Shakespeare Cliff area have [I]always[/I] caused problems with the large TIR lorries cutting accross the two lanes to get round them. So many motorists over the years have had their vehicles 'squashed' like this. There have been a lot of injuries too... Although he report doesn't say 'where' this pile up was - I bet it was near to that short stretch...
