Hiya,
Does anyone know of anybody who lives in Florence?
This is a long shot...
My son and I were in Italy for our holidays earlier this month, and for his birthday I bought him a soft toy dog from Esselunga supermarket in Florence - Via Dell' Argin Grosso. He really loved it and did not put him down for days.
Unfortunately, the toy was lost in Venezia.
My son is desperate to get his toy back, but I know that is unlikely.
He cries every night and finds it hard to sleep without him.
If you live near, or know anyone who could get to the Esselunga store and could buy another one from that store and have it sent to us here in England? I would be extremely grateful, and I know my son would be very, very happy.
We will gladly pay for all costs and more !
I can email some photographs to show details of the toy dog, if you able to help.
If you can help we would be very, very grateful.

Thanks, Becky
P.S. I know this is a real long shot and understand if you are too busy, thanks anyway.

Why don;t you ring the store and see if you can pay for it with a credit card and ask them then to send it to you.

And anyway it doesn't have to be Florence does it!!!

Buona Fortuna

Hi Sally,
Thanks for replying, my italian isn't good enough to explain everything on the telephone. However I have sent them a letter, hopefully they will reply. Thanks again, Becky

Has the toy got a name so you can see if you can locate where it was manufactured via Google???

Hi Sally,
Sadly we cannot remember the make, and it can't be seen on any photos. So our only hope is for Esselunga to reply to our letter, as we cannot find an email address for them. Thanks anyway. Regards, Becky

Here's their e-mail address:
marketing@esselunga.it

and their marketing information telephone number:
Ufficio Marketing & Comunicazione
+3902923671

If you do e-mail them, it might be a good idea if you attach a photo, if possible.

How would that be possible? :nah:

Becky, if it were any other time of the year I would say I'll definitely be in Florence within the next fortnight as I do go there very regularly. But being August and the city so hot & humid plus swamped with visitors, I'm afraid I'm not planning on going this month. If late August comes and you still haven't had any luck, please send me a private message for I'll certainly be in the city early September, probably around the 4th or 5th and will be only too pleased to help you out.

Probably because she said that she has photos of the toy, but they don't show the make of the toy.
