10137 New to Sicily

I have owned a lovely apartment in Letojanni, Sicily since last year. I am keen to use all local people and have secured a handyman, cleaners and laundy service locally.
I love life over there and am able to go 5-6 times a year. My italian is building but it would be good to know of other people over there who I can get to know and work with. I have friends in Catania and travle all over the island.
Who else is there?

I am too far away from you but welcome to the Forum and I wish you all the best.

Hi Lesleyjazz,

My wife and I also get to travel to Italy 5 - 6 times per year.
Most of the time we spend in our mill in Tuscany, but I also go to Noto.
Noto is south of you, about an hour from Catania. We have an Olive and Almond Grove there on a buildable lot. We have a view of the ocean and a view west to the skyline of Noto.
Welcome to Sicily, it's a spectacular place and I really enjoy Noto and Lido di Noto. I will be there twice this year before Christmas. The main trip is to harvest the olives.

all the best

Gary
