10138 Groups

I must confess I was the first one who was not very interested when this option was created; however, I have changed my mind and I have joined three groups since yesterday: Pet´s corner, New to Tuscany and the third one with a long name about ins and outs of property buying....
Perhaps we all tend to forget that this possibility is there and it could become a useful tool.
So have a look at the groups section. As Nielo rightly explained:

I do agree about how useful 'groups' could be, there was an initial flurry of activity when they were first available but then it tailed off. It does require a little extra effort to click your way to the section but I think it could be very good if people become used to checking what's going on there.

I think one of the problems has been that some of the groups discuss matters, which are already well covered on the main forum, so really they are the ideal place to add discussions on things which have no pertinent section already.

I believe also that the groups are for discussing anything (within reason) so it does not have to be so rigidly Italy based.

Now all I need to know is how to post photos of the cats in Pets Corner, would someone give me a guide to it plse.

Angie, are you ready for this?

First go to your personal profile and crate an album.

I already have an album so I click add album.
You then fill in the title of the album and a description

Choose whether you want the album to be public or private and click submit.

Next click on 'click here to upload pictures'

Then click ‘browse’ and select from your computer the pictures you want and then click ‘upload pictures’.

If you are on dial up like me, go and have a cup of tea!

Once the pictures are uploaded you can add captions, then click 'save changes'

You should then see your pictures and an option to add pictures to a group, Click on this and select the group you want, then select the picture/s you want to add and click on ‘Add picture’.

Go and have another cup of tea.

And hey presto your picture should appear in the group.

Hope this helps and I look forward to seeing the pics.

Go to the group you want to leave and click on 'leave group'. It is at the bottom of the messages

Nielo, your description was brilliant, I followed all the steps, managed to get "Tequila's" photo into my album, tried to download it to the group.... and then.... I keep on getting a message saying that "I must download a valid picture"...... anyway, I tried several times without results. If anyone wants to look at my dog.... go and check my album, it is public and it is the only photo in it..... for now.

Gala, you need to click on the picture (even if it's the only one) before you click to add it to the group. That might be the problem.
