Another excellent cheese shop is Fontegranne in Belmonte Piceno. Their cheese is made on the farm and sold from the farm shop. The one that we like most is the " formaggio al peperoncino" a lovely spicy cheese.
Address is V. Castellarso Ete, 11.
They also carry a range of other local produce and ceramic ware.

Geo I think this is the same people and the shop in Piano di Falerone is a new venture for them, I think as well as the farm near to Belmonte they also have one near to Amandola, or at least keep their sheep up there?.

Hi A & R. Yes, he does have a farm at the other end of Lago San Ruffino, just above the Deer Park, but it is purely dairy cattle (250 head) if I remember rightly. Belmonte has 150 head. He knows of the shop at P de F, but it is not one of his ventures.

Robert returned to the cheese shop today and was greeted like a long lost friend, he was given so many samples he told the owner he was having his lunch there.Bought more cheeses and at the end was give a free ball of hard ricotta to try, Its to be grated onto pasta.
The prices are so reasonable and the produce so fresh, just thought I would give it another star rating.

Angie, you are making me so envious that I am going to have to buy another house at Le Marche!
