Had a look at your trip barn elms and have taken a copy. Somewhere in the Sicily Forum is our trip (one month) in Sicily last autumn. Had to squeeze in the copy due to word count so take a big breath before reading it!
The recently published book by Matthew Fort about his trip on a Vespa around Italy is, in my opinion, the most accurate up to date description of affluent Sicily today and your 18th century traveller will add interest to the journey.

Barn elms and I have produced a pdf file with photos re a month in Sicily at the end of 2007 but where has the page gone to barn elms? It's no longer there.
