Actually in response to your question Francis Ford Coppola has a 12 room B & B in the next town to Pisticci called Bernalda. It is for his wine and holiwood crowd but never the less he has done it..

There is also a 13 B & B presntly being created in a 16 century Masseria in Pisticci but not in the hiltop proper but a few kilometers outside the town proper between Pisticci and Tinghi before Marconia.

May I ask how you chose Pisticci to do this? Do you have Pisticcese roots?

There is also a Calabrese in NYC that restored the old family homestead

Per your inquiry, it gives me great pleasure to inform you that our 2 bedroom/2 bath villetta is available during many great weeks during, 2006 at this moment. We book a minimum of 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday on a first come first served basis. If your travel plans are flexible, we’d be happy to accommodate you, please confirm your choice week(s).

Per your inquiry: please find our updated 2006 weekly base rate sheet (in
USD) attached for your review. Our prices includes all local taxes. FYI...Hotels of equal quality (double occupancy) in the vicinity range from 275-325 Euro (plus taxes) per night. Hence we offer a fantastic value for the astute traveler.

I'm also attaching our Amenities list for your review as well. Here you will find, that we went above and beyond the necessities of what the locals expect in a villa rental and catered more to the comforts of what North American villa rental clients would require. Especially those that love to cook at home :).

If the above piques your interest, fill out the Booking Form (last page of
T&C) and fax back to me at 212-239-4932 to initiate the confirmation process. I’ll then draw up a rental agreement and send that to you to sign off.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm the villa and remove the dates off the market. The balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival. We accept bank wire, certified check, money order or credit cards. Please advise which is the most convenient for you and I’ll give you instructions on how to proceed.

Once final payment is made, I will send you a voucher package as PDF files via e-mail with instructions, directions, itineraries, maps, tips etc. for you to plan a successful vacation in Calabria.

Our villetta is located in a very typical Calabrian port town in the region of Calabria (tip of the toe). It's 45km away from Tropea...However, the town of Gioia Tauro is ideally situated for taking many fantastic day trips (either by car or train). (we are less than 1 hour from Sicily and the Ionian coast) Gioia Tauro is the hub for the local train service in the province of Reggio Calabria, as well many national trains stop frequently in town. The nearest airport is 50km from our villa in the city of Reggio Di Calabria (REG). Although, there's another airport 70 km distant from our villa at Lamezia Terme (SUF). You can rent a car, or we can arrange for a car service to pick you up and bring you to the villa.

Our villa is 500 meters from the train station (6 minute walk), 1000 meters from the town beach (15 minute walk) and 100 meters to the main town center
(piazza) and boutique shopping.
