From that photo, I dislike it less than I expected. Although the lower right-hand end seems to have acquired the tail fins from the 1957 Ford Thunderbird.
I [I]quite[/I] liked his Zubizuri bridge in Bilbao, although the glass-tiled deck definitely can be slippery when wet. As far as I remember, it is wheelchair-accessible.

I think that it is very difficult to ascertain the impact it has on the environment if you are not there. I agree with Steve, I also like the Zubizuri bridge in Bilbao and it is wheelchair-accessible because there are current regulations in place about these facilities. But it looks as if Venice was a totally different ballgame and the facilities for wheelchairs are going to be built later because of costs..... I heard Calatrava say that the main problem was that the people in charge of construction miscalculated the final cost. He was only involved in the concept and design...
I have just watched it on Spanish TV, it is very interesting although I would like to see it on site.... difficult to ascertain how it looks from a video. I tried to find a video in English, but this is what I found. At least it gives an idea.....
