10321 Francavilla Rocks!

Coming up this weekend a festa at Francavilla (close to Montegiorgio), rock music, flaming torches and a big crowd,and food very good fun, Friday Saturday and Sunday. I am told that Saturday night is "party night" so thats us then!.

Ah this prompted a little research. There's Francavilla al Mare in Abruzzo, south of Pescara.

Do you know if there is any other info available regarding the Festa? We are just looking at buying a house near Francavilla D'ete, so would be interested in more info.
I have had a look on the net but cant find anything.

I have looked as well, but no luck either, we always hear about it as we have friends living there.If you are here now(?) it runs on the 3 evenings I mentioned, Fri, Sat, Sun, starting 7.30-8ish, lots of food , usually 3 bands in different squares, big crowds, the comune will probably have more info on this and forthcoming events, I know they do a classic car thing earlier in the year. let us know how the house situation goes, Francavilla is a really pretty village, with friendly people, and if you are interested also some English people have settled close by, and are a nice crowd.
