10333 free beaches

I recently visited Marinella di Sarzana as I thought it was all free. Every section I visited I was told that it was private. Could someone let me know What part is free and how do I find it.

The beaches are mainly franchises but there are certainly some free parts, though they do take some finding! There are a couple towards the northern end, near the main road - where you can also park. A track goes off at an angle here towards the beach and you need to look for the narrow sections with no umbrellas/sunbeds where people are usually just sitting on towels. Sorry, I can't be more precise.

There is another free beach over at Bocca di Magra, right out at the point near the sailing club. Anyone can use it, but you have to go through the beach bar and the private beach to reach it - they don't make it easy!
