10256 a flat in Italy for a few months?

Hi everyone,

My wife and I would like to go back to the UK for a few months, and we're looking for a long-term house exchange/house sitting. I know that people thinking of moving to Italy are often recommended to rent for a while first, and this is a possible alternative to that. I know there are web sites dedicated to this kind of swap, and I will be registering with one of those, but I thought I'd also mention it here, just in case anyone is looking for a place, say from October or November. We would like to swap for a place in the south of England.

Our flat is in the historic centre of the fortress town of Palmanova, Friuli Venezia Giulia. More details and photos on the following web site: [url=http://www.jewettstreet.com] Just search on the word "palmanova"

We have swapped twice for short periods via the jewettstreet site, and we can provide references if needed.

Well, no one from the forum contacted me about this, but I have had a number of replies through the house swap web site, and I think we have now sorted out the swap we need.

I would like to go to Rome for a few weeks (4-10) early next year and would like to offer in exchange for a tiny stuio apartment there my 17th century cottage in Wiltshire or my farmhouse in Le Marche.

My dates are flexible.
The house swap wet sites are all expensive! Any help would be hugely welcome.
This is all in order to perfect my italian!
