Hi,
That seems a bit sneaky on the part of the owners doesnt it. Like you say the best thing to do would be to sit in the car and have a bit of a listen. I cant see there being a massive problem as the road from the airport to Alghero and also the other way towards Sassari and Porto Torres is littered with Villas and Agritourismo's that are only a stones throw from the runway. But something to heart from is, of the twenty or so times i have been throu the airport i can honestly say that i have never seen any more than 2 planes in there at any one time, even in August ! If my mind serves me correctly i think the last flight out of there is about 22.15 not much later and the earliest flights are about 06.30 and any way i dont think they handle more than about 20 flights a day (Ryanair and Airone) and rarely any military transports.
Whatever happens you cant fail to have a good holiday in Sardegna good luck:yes:

If you read carefully Pas 55, the page is updated every ten minutes so what you see on the homa page might not be the reality

That does not make any difference to the number of flights in & out it just updates any delay details.It's September and all the mainland Italians have gone home.

I looked at the website and went to the 'Flights' area [tab at top left] and then the 'real time departures and arrivals pages' page[s] [in box top-ish right]
Seem a lot more than 4 planes landing/taking off today
Looking at the figures there are 18 flights landing and 18 taking off today - starting at 06.40hrs and ending at 22.50hrs.
Hope its not too bad at his apartment.

That is absolutely appalling Neil. It seems though you are acting sensibly by having contingency plans, if that's any consolation.
