would second that Intasure proved to be the cheapest on the market when we were searching and also includes an extra amount for accidental damage if you are renting out which only costs us £15 more which is definately worth thinking about. Would not recommend you use local insurance companies as tan cost quite a bit more.

Has any one insured with Italsure, made a claim? I am particularly interested in house building and contents insurance, which at present we have insured with an Italian firm? It's not the price it's the recompensation that matters...as we know from the poor person whose roof blew off!!!
I have recently had the same issue. I eventually selected Intasure. I haven't had a claim so don't know if they are good in that respect. I spoke to somebody in England and arranged it and sorted out payment by monthly direct debit without any additional cost over a single upfront payment.
They seemed more helpful than some of the others I tried . The premiums seemed competitive to me
