10172 Jonny Allen

Just wondered if this is the same guy who was managing projects in the area. Only met him once, but had contact as well through emails. If it is, then such a sad end for someone so young and for his family.

Hi, yes, unfortunately this is the same Jonny. We too met him through buying a property in Abruzzo and were to be his neighbours. We had become firm friends with him and were honoured an proud to have known him. He helped us realise our dream and we aim to finish our house and enjoy life as he did. We were in Italy at the time of his death and attended his funeral which was attended by many others who he also had helped to live the dream. To those who knew him he was a larger than life character who had a smile that made life worth while. He will be sadly missed.

I was also at the funeral, Jonny was a good mate who realised our dreams and despite this tragedy it's nice to know that his Mum & Dad are staying here and they know that we're there for them whatever they need. Unfortunately Misca has decided to go back to Romania with the baby.

Very sad story, indeed. May he rest in peace.

I have been trying to get hold of Jonny recently and have just found this thread. He helped us buy our house out of his area. Can someone please tell me what happened. Last time we were over, we were chatting about his young daughter and dropping him off supplies from the UK.

Very sad news.
